Just got my ZDX and was bummed to learn that Acura/Honda isn't on the approved list for Supercharger network. Wasn't a blocker for me since I charge at home 95% of the time. But the Supercharger network is really good. So as I was looking into it, I see that GM is now on the approved list. Well, the ZDX is built by GM - so I thought maybe this could work as long as there wasn't any special branding ID with the cars internal charging software. Well, turns out it can work!

OK - so set up a new account in the Tesla App (if you don't already have one). Add a new vehicle, but instead of the Acura ZDX, choose the Cadillac Lyriq. Plug in with an NACS Fast Charge Adapter and charge away! Works great.

Happy Charging!

We just purchased a ZDX and want to make sure this is a safe way to charge on Tesla's network--did you confirm with an Acura dealership or GM to make sure it's not going to cause any damage?

No - it’s just a DC fast charger, ultimately. I’ve used my Mach E with the same setup. There’s nothing to damage, really. But don’t do it if you are concerned. Is this your first EV?
